Improv Zen Lisbon
Wednesday Improv Comedy • 5:30–6:30 PM
Starting Wednesday, November 4th • $79/month
Improv Zen is bringing its unique approach to improv comedy, creativity, connection, and community to downtown Lisbon.
This weekly class is taught by Webster, Emmy Award-winning director and Artistic Director of Improv Zen, who has performed in more than 3,000 shows and trained with Second City.
And this is much more than a typical improv class.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of improv comedy while developing the confidence, listening skills, spontaneity, character work, and ensemble skills that make great performers. As the Lisbon program develops, you’ll also have opportunities to learn on-camera performance and become part of the original comedy we’ll eventually be creating and filming in our Lisbon TV studio/theater.
You’re joining a company, not just a class.
Lisbon members are part of the Improv Zen family and are welcome to participate in our regular Yarmouth jam sessions, where you can play with the larger Improv Zen community and meet the performers who are already training with the company.
And when you feel ready — not before — there will be opportunities to perform in Improv Zen shows alongside the rest of the company.
There is never any pressure to perform.
Maybe you want to become a performer and eventually appear on stage or on camera.
Maybe you just want one fun hour every Wednesday to laugh, be creative, meet people, make friends, and do something completely different.
Both are absolutely welcome.
You can come simply to play and have a great time, and stay as long as you want without ever being required to perform.
